The story behind JLM
Old books, new beginnings.
Hello, I'm Justine. I transform ordinary books into unique works of art, with patience, precision and an eye for detail.
Each finished piece is folded by hand to create a thoughtful gift with its own character. I also design PDF patterns so other people can enjoy the craft themselves.
Every fold helps turn an ordinary book into something extraordinary.
Many of my handmade pieces begin with charity-shop books. That means the covers, page shades and small details can vary — part of what makes each finished book one of a kind.

Good to know
A few answers before you choose your next folded-book gift or creative project.
Are the finished folded books handmade?
Yes. Finished book art is created by hand, so each piece has its own individual character.
Will my book look exactly like the photograph?
The folded design will reflect the listing, but the book cover, colour, paper and finishing details may differ. Many books are sourced from charity shops, giving each one a unique appearance. Please refer to each Etsy listing for the exact item details.
Do you sell downloadable book-folding patterns?
Yes. Digital PDF patterns are available through the Etsy shop. Check the individual listing for the method, book size and page requirements before purchasing.
Can I ask about a personalised design?
You're welcome to contact JLM Bookfolds through Etsy to discuss what may be possible. Availability and suitability depend on the design and the book.
Where do I place an order?
All orders and payments are handled through the JLM Bookfolds Etsy shop. Simply select the design you like and complete your purchase there.
